The Nevada Museum of Art
The Nevada Museum of Art features world-class traveling exhibits along with it's own collection reflecting five focus areas centered on the aesthetic articulation of our land and environment. Designed by Will Bruder and inspired by Nevada's Black Rock Desert, the Nevada Museum of Art welcomes you to breathtaking galleries, a rooftop sculpture garden, The Museum Store and dining at Café Musée. The museum offers a variety of docent-guided tours for families and adult visitors.
Fleischmann Planetarium and Science Center
One of Reno's greatest treasures is its night sky. With little light pollution, northern Nevada's night sky presents the novice stargazer and experienced astronomer with an abundance of stars, constellations, meteors, planets and other celestial bodies visible without the aid of a telescope. Stargazing is best experienced along the ridge lines surrounding the "bowl" where Reno-Sparks lies. Continue your journey into the universe through time and space by visiting The Fleischmann Planetarium and Science Center. While there catch a film or star show in their large format theatre and see a one-ton meteorite. Don't forget - on clear Friday and Saturday nights throughout the year, visit the planetarium's public observatory where you can scan the heavens with a C-14 telescope - free of charge.
The National Automobile Museum
At The National Automobile Museum (The Harrah Collection) visitors travel through time discovering a century of automobiles: more than 220 antique, vintage, classic, special interest, "cars-of-the-stars" and one-of-a-kind wonders. The museum includes a multimedia theater, a fully-operating automotive shop and museum store.
